Mildred M. Seitz of Cuba was born Thursday, August 5, 1915 at Crawford County, Missouri to the union of William Stack and Nancy (nee: Wright) Stack and left from this life on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Steelville, Missouri at the age of 91 years 10 months and 29 days. Mildred was united in marriage on May 8, 1937 at St. Louis, Missouri to John Seitz and to this union three children were born; Earl, John and Nancy. Mildred spent many years working on the family farm helping with the cattle. She raised a garden each year and canned for hours every summer. She enjoyed the beautiful flowers she grew, was a Great cook, loved to dance with her husband John in their younger years and enjoyed making quilts for everyone, but what she treasured most was spending time with her family. Mildred was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband John Seitz, parents; William and Nancy Stack, five brothers; William, Newt, James, John and Stephen Seitz, three sisters; Effie and Hallie Stack and Lou Wood and many other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish and treasure her memory are her two sons; Earl and wife Patty Seitz of Columbia, Missouri and John W. Seitz of Cuba, Missouri, one daughter Nancy and husband Lee Layton of Steelville, Missouri, one brother Charles Stack of St. James, one brother in law Jim Wood, eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation Friday, July 6th from 5 till 8 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service 11 AM Saturday, July 7th at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Special music; Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art and In the Garden. Honored to be serving as pall bears; Don, John & Bill Seitz, Lee Layton, Jimmy Happel, Jeff Butler and Wayne Cunningham. Interment at Mounts Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Seitz family.
