Mildred Jacklene "Jackie" Wells of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Melvin L. and Flossie L. (Sheckles) Vincent on August 27, 1938 in Burkesville, Kentucky and left from this life on Thursday, November 20, 2008 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 70 years 2 months and 23 days. Jackie was united marriage to Charles Dempsey Wells in Cumberland, Kentucky on January 4, 1955 and to this union three children were born Charles Thomas, Roger Eugene and Margaret Louise Wells. Jackie was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, bowling, gardening, playing a game of horseshoes and softball. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Melvin Luther and Flossie Lee (Sheckles) Vincent; husband Charles Dempsey Wells; one son Roger E. Wells; two brothers Junior and Joe Vincent; three sisters Ethel and Mary Vincent and Etha Lewis; one granddaughter Candice White and a host of other relatives. Those who are left to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy are her son Charles T. and wife Carolyn Wells of Cuba, Missouri; daughter Margaret Louise Crider of Cuba, Missouri; five sisters Jean Smith of Eighty Eight, Kentucky, Martha Asberry of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Lenora Kemplen of Fairfield, Illinois, Linda Porter and Brenda Mueller both of Burkesville, Kentucky; four grandchildren Bliz and B.J. Crider of Cuba, Missouri, Sheila Donner of Cuba, Missouri, Amanda Barnett of Columbia, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: Saturday, November 22, 2008 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral: Sunday, November 23, 2008 1:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Mace, officiating. Interment: Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Wells family.
