Mildred é¢ééMillieé¢éé D. Disbrow of Rolla, Missouri was born Monday, June 24, 1929 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Willie Mae and Eva (nee: Gallahar) Thurmond and left from this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Rolla, Missouri. Millie was united in marriage to Frank Disbrow. Millie was the loving mother of three children Linda, Tommy and Mark. Millie worked at Alvin Optical in St. Louis for several years before moving to Lonedell, Missouri where she work at the Hazel Leather Co in Washington, Missouri. In 1976 she retired and began traveling all over the United States including several trips to Hawaii and an ocean cruise. Millie enjoyed playing cards and playing games with her grandchildren. She would always watch the Home Shopping Network or QVC looking for the newest line of jewelry. She spent many hours with her dog é¢ééMystiqueé¢éé or é¢ééEasy Dogé¢éé as it was known by some. She enjoyed eating spaghetti and could cook her famous macaroni and cheese, hot dogs or scrambled eggs and cheese. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing for hours. Millie was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Millie is preceded in death by her parents Willie Mae and Eva Thurmond, husband Frank Disbrow, daughter Linda Appa, four brothers William Clayton é¢ééW.C.é¢éé, Richard é¢ééBudé¢éé, Carl and Robert é¢ééBobé¢éé Thurmond and one infant sister Betty Jean Elizabeth Thurmond and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her son Mark and wife Margaret Disbrow of Rolla, Missouri and son Tommy Klepac, four grandchildren Danita Govea, Mark Jr., Micah and McKenna Disbrow, great grandson Joey Govea, sister Shirley Moentmann of High Ridge, Missouri and brother Eddie Boyce of St. Louis, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A é¢ééChat and Chewé¢éé will be held from 12 Noon till 3 PM Saturday, July 25th at the First Baptist Church of Leasburg, (lower level) Leasburg, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Leasburg (378 Hwy H, Leasburg, MO 65535)in Millieé¢éés memory. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Disbrow family.
