Mike Huitt

John Michael Huitt, known to his family and friends as 郢邀邜Mike郢邀邝, of Festus, Missouri formerly of Cuba, was born Tuesday, January 24, 1961 at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the age of 48 years and 5 months. Mike郢邀邙s passion was golf and his occupation was a groundskeeper for golf courses, such as AAA and Forest Park Golf Courses in St. Louis. He played golf with many notables and beginners with the same attitude, 郢邀邜the game is supposed to be fun.郢邀邝 In 2006 Mike moved to Festus to be the caretaker for his ailing mother and began working as a seasonal for the Missouri Division of State Parks. Mike had a wonderful zest for life and a great sense of humor that brightened any room he walked into. Mike is preceded in death by his father William Huitt and other relatives and friends. He is survived by his mother Alice Juanita Huitt, brothers and sisters Bill Huitt, Dennis Huitt, Randy Huitt, Delecia Huitt, Jim Huitt, Larry Huitt, Denise Jones and Katy Mathews, half-sister June Huitt, foster daughter Mary, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Mike will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him. Visitation will be Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 5 till 7 pm at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be 2 pm Sunday, June 28, 2009 with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Interment to follow at Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
