Mary Elizabeth Weber Sherrell

August 21, 1922 — August 17, 2011

Mary Elizabeth (Weber) Sherrell of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of John and Ada (Jones) Russell on August 21, 1922 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and left from this life on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Cuba Manor at the age of 88. Mary formerly owned and operated Sherrell's Grocery in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She taught Sunday School for many years at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was a member of Injoy Christian Fellowship in Bourbon, Missouri. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking, flowers and singing. Mary is preceded in death by her parents John and Ada Russell; two husbands Clyde William Weber and Noah Sherrell; one brother Abe Smith; two sisters Pearl Watson and Mildred Felts. Those who are left to treasure her memory are her five children William and wife Marianna Weber, John and wife Shirley Weber, Ralph and wife Mary Weber all of Cuba, Linda and husband Mick McGuire of Bourbon, Missouri, Nona and husband Rick Taylor of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011 6-8 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 11:00 a.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Potter, officiating. Graveside service will be held Saturday 3:30 p.m. at the Carterville Cemetery, Carterville, Missouri The Mizell Funeral Home is Honored to be serving the Weber Sherrell family.
