Mary E. Griffin

Mary E. Griffin of St James, Missouri was born to the union of David V. and Dolly (Pendelton) Orick on August 18, 1931 in Tazewell, Tennessee and left from this life on Friday, October 22, 2010 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 79. Mary was united in marriage to Paul E. Griffin on April 19, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas and to this union one daughter was born Lana. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed oil painting, writing poetry, cooking, puzzles, sewing, crafts and spending time with her family and friends. Mary is preceded in death by her parents David V. and Dolly (Pendelton) Orick; husband Paul E. Griffin; one sister Gladys Orton; five brothers Bay, Herbert, Glen, James and Ray Orick. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her daughter Lana and husband Ron Taylor of St. James, Missouri; two grandchildren Michele and husband Kent Sbabo of St. James, Missouri, Griffin and wife Melissa Taylor of Cuba, Missouri; five great-grandchildren Bethany and Alec Sbabo, Paul, Gwen and Arwen Taylor; niece Gertie Tourville of Sullivan, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 11:00 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Interment will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Griffin family.
