Marie M. Baron of Bourbon, Missouri was born to the union of Joseph and Barbara (Gabler) Walitschek on January 13, 1931 in Osage, Iowa and left from this life on Friday, April 30, 2010 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 79. Marie was employed as a hostess the last eight years at McDonalds of Cuba. She was a devoted parishioner at St. Francis Catholic Church of Bourbon. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo, word search books, scratch off tickets, watching old reruns on TV, baking and spending time with family and friends. Marie is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Barbara (Gabler) Walitschek; husband Edward Baron; two brothers George and Max Walitschek; two sisters Barbara Fox, Ella Morgan and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy are her two sons Ted and wife Barbara Baron of Addison, Illinois, Greg and wife Diana Baron of Bourbon, Missouri; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cuba, Missouri with Father James Finder as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Baron family.
