Marie E. Geller of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, May 28, 1920 at Cuba, Missouri to the union of William and Pearl (nee: Martin) Turnbough and left from this life on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 90 years 4 months and 25 days. Marie was united in marriage to Harvey Geller on April 1, 1943 and to this union three children were born Doris Jean, Linda and Richard. Marie worked from the 1950's till the 1960's at the shoe factory. Marie enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping on the river bank, being outside, and in her older years quilting, crocheting and embroidering. What she always enjoyed most was spending time playing games outside with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Covenant Praise Church of God for forty-six years. Marie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Marie is preceded in death by her parents William and Pearl Turnbough, husband Harvey Geller, son Richard D. Geller, brothers Cletis and Earl Turnbough, sister Gladys Parsons, son-in-law Howard Monda and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her two daughters Doris Jean Monda and Linda and husband Bill Gunn all of Cuba, two brothers Delbert and wife Sharon Turnbough of Cuba and Ercie and wife Donna Turnbough of St. James, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2010 4 till 7 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Mark Smith and Bro. Windell Starnes officiating. Special music of "I'll Fly Away," "What a Day That Will Be" and "Oh I Want to See Him." Interment and prayers will follow at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Memorials to Cuba Senior Center in Marie's memory would be greatly appreciated. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Marie's family.
