Mancefield Greer of Cuba, Missouri was born on Sunday, September 15, 1912 at Charleston, Missouri, to the union of Frank and Mary Eliza (nee: Rice) Greer and left from this life on Monday, February 26, 2007 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 94 years 5 months and 11 days. Mancefield was united in marriage on June 26, 1937 at St. Louis, Missouri to Martha Eleanor Hunter and to this union four children were born; Ronald, Thomas, Gail and Betty. Mancefield retired from M.H. Material Handling Equipment Company in St. Louis, Missouri after many years of being in the sells department. They moved to Cuba in 1976 and were a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba for many years. Mancefield is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Eliza Greer, one son Thomas Greer, two brothers Virgil F. and Eugene Greer, one sister Lillian Lucille Greer and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to mourn his passing, but to celebrate a wonderful life lived is his loving wife Eleanor of the home, one son Ronald Greer of Cuba, Missouri, two daughters Gail and husband Jim Hollingsworth of Trinity, Texas and Betty and husband Larry Tiemann of St. Louis, Missouri, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, one brother Albert E. Greer of Homer, Alaska and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation Thursday, March 1st from 4 til 8 PM at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba. Funeral Service 10 AM Friday, March 2nd at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 730 Fleenor Road, Cuba, with Rev. Jeff Schanbacher officiating. Serving as pall bears are the grandsons. Burial to follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Greer family.
