Magdalen "Madge" Doerr of Bourbon, Missouri was born to the union of George and Margaret (Schneider) Matt on Monday, May 1, 1922 at St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 86 years 9 months and 4 days. Madge was united in marriage to Arthur Doerr in 1943 at St. Louis, Missouri. Madge was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, being active at Church and Senior Citizens Group functions. But what she enjoyed most was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Madge is preceded in death by her parents George and Margaret (Schneider) Matt; husband Arthur Doerr and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy are her two daughters Lenore and husband Frank Miles of Crestwood, Missouri and Cheryl and husband Larry Goodman of Bourbon, Missouri; three sons Donald and wife Ida Doerr of Arnold, Missouri, James and wife Charlotte Doerr of St. Charles, Missouri, Michael "Mick" (Wendy) Doerr of Sullivan, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Visitation 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at St. Francis Catholic Church 1098 Old Hwy. 66 Bourbon, Missouri. Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father James Finder as the Celebrant. Interment at Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital in Madge's memory. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Doerr family.
