M. Rockael Stubblefield

Meera “Rockael” Stubblefield of Cuba, Missouri passed away suddenly on Monday, May 22, 2023 leaving behind countless family and friends that will greatly miss her.

Rockael, 31, was born on Friday, June 28, 1991, in Raleigh, North Carolina to the union of Ravindra “Rocky” Chaudhry and Tina (Brown) McGee.

Rockael moved to Cuba, Missouri after the eighth grade where she met her husband and high school sweetheart, Lee Matthew “Matt” Stubblefield. They were friends throughout high school and began dating at the Crawford County fair before their senior year. As a couple, the two were instantly beloved and named Football Homecoming King and Queen by their high school classmates.

Matt and Rockael were united in marriage on July 26, 2014, in Cuba, Missouri. They married under the oak tree on the Stubblefield Family farm, a location of great significance to the couple. To this union two adorable children were born: Joey and Meera.

Rockael was a caring and attentive mother. She and Matt worked to instill the importance of farm life in their kids. Since the day Joey was born, Rockael would take them to the farm as she and Matt worked together managing their herd of cattle. Because of her concerted effort, both Joey and Meera enjoy being outside, getting their hands dirty, and playing in Brush Creek. Rockael also had a love of horses and would take both children to the local equestrian center for riding lessons.

Rockael was a graduate of Cuba High School “Class of 2009”. She earned an associate degree in arts and science, from East Central College. She worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant before she and Matt became co-owners and operators of Brush Creek Valley Farms and Oak Hill Meats & Processing.

She was indispensable to the Cuba community. She coached youth football and soccer, she was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and she attended Trinity Chapel Church. Rockael notably co-coordinated the local “Christmas Caravan,” an annual event that brought holiday joy and raised money for those in need.

Rockael left this world too quickly. For her short time here, she filled her life with joy and happiness. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, goofy sense of humor, and the love she shared with friends and family.

Rockael is preceded in death by her grandparents Mahavir and Kartari Chaudhry and Joseph Ronald Kasprowicz.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband Matt Stubblefield; two adorable children Joey and Meera Stubblefield all of Cuba; parents Ravindra “Rocky” Chaudhry of Steelville, Tina (Brown) McGee of Raleigh, North Carolina; five brothers and sisters Lee (Alishia) Farthing, Joseph Dodd, Kathryn McGee, Anna McGee all of North Carolina, Lucas Chaudhry of Sullivan, Angelica (Steven) Nuno of Cuba; grandmother Connie “Boosha” Kasprowicz of Raleigh, North Carolina; parents-in-law Drew and Missy Stubblefield of Cuba; two sisters-in-law Jessica (Josh) Mabe of Cuba, Erin (Brad) Sexauer of St. Louis; one brother-in-law Andy (Lisa) Stubblefield of Cuba; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
