Lynn Mace of Rolla, Missouri was born to the union of Zachariah C. and Edna E. (Brown) Mace on Thursday, January 25, 1934 in Edgar Springs, Missouri and left from this life on Thursday, July 10, 2008 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 74 years 5 months and 16 days. Lynn was united in marriage to Charlene V. Hell in Lebanon, Missouri on August 20, 1955 and to this union three children were born Gary, Susan and Charles. Lynn spent most of his adult life in the grocery business having owned and operated Mace Stores in Rolla (1956-1961), Cuba (1961-1969) and Steelville(1984-1989). For a short period of time he owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Cuba and was a Salesman for Treece Chevrolet in Cuba. He later returned to the grocery business having helped in various capacities until his retirement in 1998. In his spare time Lynn enjoyed a good game of golf, an excellent meal, following the sport of baseball, football and basketball. But most of all Lynn enjoyed all of the time he spent visiting with his family and friends, because as we all know, Lynn was not shy for words. Lynn is preceded in death by his parents Zachariah C. and Edna E. (Brown) Mace; one sister-in-law Norma Mace and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to celebrate his life and to continue his legacy are his wife Charlene V. Mace of the home; two sons Pastor Gary and wife Sharon Mace of Cuba, Missouri, Charles and wife Jennifer Mace of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter Susan and husband Russell Caton of Rolla, Missouri; one brother Carroll Mace of Rolla, Missouri; five grandchildren Eric Mace of Temecula, California, Brad Mace of Cuba, Missouri, Emily Jones of Rolla, Missouri, Katie and Caroline Mace of Cincinnati, Ohio; nieces, nephews and a host other relatives and friends.
