Lyle Wallace Pace of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Onice E. and Delia (Minnick) Pace on June 3, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and left from this life on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at his home at the age of 80. Lyle was united in marriage to Dolores A. é¢ééDollyé¢éé Maxwell on June 10, 1950 in Creve Coeur, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Lyle retired from McDonnell Douglas in 1984 after 34 years of dedicated service as an Airplane Mechanic. He was known to always help others whether it be with a vehicle, building a home or whatever someone else needed. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening. Lyle is preceded in death by his parents Onice E. and Delia (Minnick) Pace; wife Dolores A. é¢ééDollyé¢éé (Maxwell) Pace; sister Dee Holzum; son-in-law Roland Woodard and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish his memory and to continue his legacy are his four children Daniel L. and wife Nancy Pace of Ballwin, Missouri and Rex Allan and wife Sami Pace of Labadie, Missouri, Gwen Woodard and Laurie Jane and husband Bruce Setter both of Cuba, Missouri; two brothers Bill Pace of Missouri and Gene and wife Edith Pace of Valley Park, Missouri; brother-in-law Earl Holzum of Arizona; special friend Sharon Hagerman of Alton, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 10:00 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Rev. Neil Lewis, officiating. Interment will follow 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Cemetery, Winfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to Beeville Baptist Missionary. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Pace family.
