Louise Elizabeth Souders

Louise Elizabeth Souders a longtime resident of Crawford County was born on April 9, 1914 in Madison, Illinois to the union of Charlie and Louise (King) Halfaker and left from this life on Saturday, September 4, 2010 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 96. Louise worked for many years for Brauer Bros. Shoe Factory in Cuba. In her spare time she enjoyed flowers, her cats, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends. Louise is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Louise (King) Halfaker; husband Jake Souders; two sons Robert and Thomas Hertel; four brothers, three sisters and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving daughter Shirley and husband Jerry Bayless of Rolla, Missouri; daughter-in-law Carol Hertel of Bourbon, Missouri; five grandchildren David and wife Sally Bayless of Athens, Ohio, Jennie Bayless of Rolla, Missouri, Theodore and wife Janet Hertel of Manchester, Missouri, Timothy and wife Shannyn Hertel of Bourbon, Missouri, Cynthia and husband Francisco Cubas of Bourbon, Missouri; numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Private services were held. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Souders family.
