Lorene Todd of Cuba, Missouri was born on September 24, 1925 in Leadhill, Arkansas to the union of James C. and Virgie (Ivey) Whiteaker. She went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Sunset Health Care Center in Union, Missouri at the age of 95 years.
Lorene was united in marriage to Jackson "Jack" L. Todd on February 8, 1943 in Reno, Nevada. To this union three sons were born Steven, James and Dwight.
Lorene and Jack owned and operated Meramec Sundries from 1960-1972. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her home and family. She loved to sing and play the piano, read Gods word, being with and praying for her family.
Lorene is preceded in death by her parents James C. and Virgie (Ivey) Whiteaker; husband Jackson "Jack" L. Todd; one brother James "Clay" Toye.
Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three sons Steven and wife Gina Todd of Cuba, Missouri, James and wife Sue Todd of Arnold, Missouri, Dwight and wife Patti Todd of Tempe, Arizona; eight grandchildren Monica and husband Dan Hewkin, Sheila and husband A.J. Hall, Heather and husband Greg Yount, Angela and husband Terry Self, Andrew and wife Jamie Todd, Len Maurer, Denise and husband Jose Jasso, Steven Todd. sixteen great-grandchildren Kayla Hewkin (Matt), Cheyenne Hewkin (Jacobus), Jeremy Hewkin, Nathan Hall, Kathryn Hall, C.J. Trolinger, Curtis Trolinger, Erin Trolinger, Brendan Christopher, Alexa Christopher, Cory Self, Jewell Todd, Kaitlyn Todd, Nathanel Jasso, Zachary Maurer, Adam Levi; great-great-grandchildren Lily Paro and soon to be Grayson James Todd; three daughters-in-law Debra Willoughby, Betty Todd and JoAnn Todd; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Cuba Free Will Baptist Church 707 Myrtle St. St. Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 1:00 p.m. at Cuba Free Will Baptist Church with Dan Hewkin, officiating.
Interment will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Hewkin, Andrew Todd, Matt Killeen, Jacobus Vandenbroek, Curtis Trolinger, Alan Cape, Dave Honea and Steve Eads.
