Loren N. Swarnes, Jr. of Lake Havasu City, Arizona was born to the union of Loren N. and Helen (Gregory) Swarnes, Sr. on February 26, 1949 in Louisiana, Missouri. He left from this life on July 8, 2017 at his home at the age of 68 years. Loren retired as a Building Inspector for the State of Arizona. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star and Gallentry Cross. He enjoyed gambling, the desert, baking, cooking and was a proud member and sponsor of Alcoholic Anonymous. Loren is preceded in death by his father Loren N. Swarnes, Sr. two sisters Cindy DaPron and Gail Griffin; infant brother Terry L. Swarnes. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his parents Eugene and Helen (Gregory) Forester of Cuba, Missouri; three brothers William and wife Barb Swarnes of Burnell, Florida, Fred Swarnes of St. Augustine, Florida, Deter and wife Robin Swarnes of Rolla, Missouri; one step-sister Gina McGinnis of Ava, Missouri; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Woodrow Martin, officiating. Full military honors will conclude the service. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Swarnes family.
