Lora J. Collins

Lora Jean Collins of Steelville, Missouri formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Loyd Eugene and Sharon (Webster) Mahurin on February 27, 1973 in Rolla, Missouri and left from this life on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 in Steelville, Missouri at the age of 35 years 10 months and 18 days. Lora was a student at Columbia College in Rolla where she was obtaining a Bachelors of Administration Degree in Business Management and Accounting. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Leasburg, Missouri. She enjoyed children, animals, crocheting, reading, cooking, playing a game of cards and yahtzee. But what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and friends. Lora was preceded in death by her grandparents Lawrence and Eula Mahurin, George Webster and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy are her husband James W. Collins of Steelville, Missouri; two sons Devon Politte of Bourbon, Missouri and C.J. Collins of Steelville, Missouri; parents Loyd Eugene and Sharon Mahurin of Cuba, Missouri; two sisters Karen and husband Bill Parkins of Cuba, Missouri and Jessie Mahurin of Cuba, Missouri; Grandmother Betty Webster of St. James, Missouri; one nephew James Mendoza of Cuba, Missouri; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
