Linda Violett Greene

Linda Lee Violett Greene of St. Louis formerly of Cuba was born Friday, June 24, 1960 to the union of Glen and Jo (nee: Hopkins) Violett at St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Friday, December 02, 2011 at DePaul Health Center, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 51 years. Linda was united in marriage to Dennis Greene and to this union two beautiful daughters were born Dessa and Jasmine. Linda spent her life taking care of her family. She was the bookkeeper for the Phillip 66 Gas Station from 1992 till 1999, which she and Dennis owned until March of 2011. Linda enjoyed EBay, gardening (flowers and tomatoes), floating the Meramec and the Huzzah Rivers, reading, embroidering and collecting antiques. She raised dogs for many years and "Bear" was her favorite. She enjoyed her cats, horses and being outside. Linda helped set up the Abuse Hotline of Crawford County, was a 4-H Club volunteer, was the "Room Mother" when the girls were growing up and always looked forward to Christmas in Florida. Linda was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be forever remembered and always loved by those who knew her. Linda is preceded in death by her parents Glen and Jo Violett and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are loving husband Dennis Greene of St. Louis formerly of Cuba, two amazing daughters Dessa and husband Jesse McClary of Leasburg, Missouri and Jasmine Greene of Cuba, two sisters Cynthia O'Toole of Eureka, Missouri and Melody Violett of California state, one brother Glen and wife Denise Violett of St. Louis County, sister-in-law Cynthia and husband Drew Buckley of St. Thomas USVI, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 2:00 till 5:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 5, 2011 at Zion Cemetery, 7401 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63133. Please meet directly at the cemetery. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Linda's family.
