Linda J. (Ransom) Avery

Linda J. Avery of Leasburg, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home on October 22, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on October 7, 1948, in Leasburg Missouri, Linda was the beloved daughter of Ernie and Frieda (Weber) Ransom.

Linda dedicated her life to being a homemaker, creating a warm and loving environment for her family. She truly loved taking care of her home and family, spending countless joyful hours in their company. Her relationships were marked by deep love and companionship, especially with her husband, Gene. Together, they shared an extraordinary bond, often seen holding hands and enjoying each other's presence.

Linda's life was enriched by her children—Tammy, Jenny "Becky", Eugene and Keith. She took immense pride in her role as a mother, nurturing her children with love and dedication. Linda was also a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren, alongside three great-grandchildren, whose lives she influenced profoundly.

Apart from her family, Linda had a passion for word search puzzles and enjoyed spending time shopping for knick-knacks. These simple joys gave her great happiness and reflected her vibrant spirit.

Those who are left to treasure her memory are her loving husband Clarence Eugene Avery, Sr. of Leasburg, children Tammy Vena of Plato, Jenny "Becky" (Robert) Cordia of St. Clair, Eugene (Jennifer) Avery of Sullivan, and Keith (Erin) Avery of Labadie, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister Wanda (Don) Stien of Bourbon, brothers Curt (Kathy) Ransom of Silex, and brothers-in-law Terry (Vicki) Hogan of Steelville and Mike (Jeannie) Hogan of Little Rock.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie and Frieda Ransom; her brother, James Ransom; and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pearl E. "Butch" Avery, Claudia Dildine, Linda Collier, and Fern Bryant.

Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her legacy of love, devotion, and kindness will forever live on in the memories she created with her family.
