Lillian R. Eikermann

Lillian R. Eikermann of Bourbon, Missouri was born November 9, 1912 at Bourbon, Missouri to the union of Jacob and Elizabeth (nee: Allsman) Rohrer and left from this life on September 15, 2008 at Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 95 years 10 months and 6 days. Lillian was united in marriage to Fred Harmon on July 21, 1932 and he left from this life in November of 1934. Lillian was then united in marriage to Oscar Henry Eikermann on February 19, 1938 and to this union one son was born, Leland. Lillian taught in a one room school house in Crawford, Franklin, Washington and Gasconade counties for several years. After teaching she worked for the Shoe Factory in Rolla, a factory in Owensville, Paramount Cap in Bourbon and Lolle Farms Feed Store in Bourbon. Lillian was a 4-H Leader and Sunday School Teacher for many years and was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, canning, making pies, playing the piano and singing in the church choir. Lillian was known to be an avid reader, an excellent seamstress and a beautiful quilt maker. But what was the most important to her, was her family and spending time with them. Lillian is preceded in death by her parents Jacob and Elizabeth Rohrer, one son Leland O. Eikermann, eleven brothers and sisters; Florence Isgriggs, Jason, Dan, Hallie, Carric, Carrie, Fred, Lawrence, Howard, Virgil and Quentin Rohrer and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her loving daughter in law Carol-Gay and husband Ken Schroeder of Leasburg, one sister Zelma Berry Hill of Venice, FL, four grandchildren Leland Jr., Lise郢邀邙, Lance and Laura Kay, eleven great grandchildren; Josh, Luke, Brandon, Caitlin, Jennifer, Drake, Wyatt, Tripp, Jacob, Ethan and Elizabeth, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday, September 20th from 5 till 8 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon. Funeral service 2 PM Sunday, September 21st at the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon with Pastor Leo Shumaker officiating. Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Lillian郢邀邙s great grandchildren. Interment will follow at the Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon in Lillian郢邀邙s memory. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Eikermann family.
