Lester Norman Findorff, Jr. of Crane, Missouri formerly of the Chicago, Illinois area, was born Wednesday, January 29, 1947 at Evergreen Park, Illinois to the union of Lester N. Findorff, Sr. and Lorena (nee: Powers) Findorff and left from this life on Monday, January 12th at Crane, Missouri at the age of 61 years 11 months and 14 days. Lester served in the United States Army from the 31st of August 1964 until the 28th of August 1967. During this time he spent 2 years 9 months and 11 days in Italy. He received the Mechanic Badge, National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter (Rifle) Medal. He served in the United States Army Reserves until the 30th of August 1970. Lester started working as a mechanic before entering the service and continued after the service. He drove a tow truck and was a Repo Man for several years before becoming a truck driver. During his spare time he enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley and was a member of the DC Eagles. Lester is preceded in death by his parents Lester Sr. and Lorena Findorff and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to remember him are his children; Angie and husband Shawn McCarter of Springfield, Missouri, Lester and wife Rebecca Findorff of Billings, Missouri and Amanda Findorff of Springfield, Missouri, five grandchildren Hailee, Jaiden and Logan Findorff, Aralynn Dillard and Doniven Bacus, two sisters Patricia Mantey and Irene Wegner both of Florida and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday, January 17th from 1 till 3 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service 3 PM Saturday, January 17th at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Military Honors.
