Leon Scott White

Leon Scott White of Cuba, Missouri was born May 18, 1940 at Cuba, Missouri to the union of James White and Iva (Nee: Scott) White and left from this life on Friday, July 20, 2007 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 67 years 2 months and 2 days. Leon was united in marriage to Barbara Spoon at Rolla, Missouri in 1964 and to this union three children were born; Joe, Leigh-Anna and Kimberly. Leon served in the United States Army during the 1960's were he learned to operate heavy equipment. After the service he continued as a heavy equipment operator and worked building bridges for the Local Union #513 in St. Louis, Missouri for 45 years before he retired. After retirement Leon got to enjoy hunting, fishing, the Country Club in Steelville (always to be there at 6 PM) his garden, riding his four wheeler, taking the scenic route when ever he went for a drive, old time country music, Matlock and Walker Texas Ranger. Leon was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother in law, uncle and a true friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Leon is preceded in death by his parents; James and Iva White, his wife Barbara White, one infant son Joe White, two brothers; Tom and Donald White and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory are his two daughters; Leigh-Anna White and friend Kevin Hunter of Cuba, Missouri and Kimberly and husband Bill Cuddy of Meadowview, Virginia, five grandchildren; Meghan Earley, Andy and Katie Cuddy, Brady and Charleigh Hunter,one sister Dixie and husband Dean Northington, three brothers; Frank and wife Sylvia, Vernon and wife Sharon and Bob and wife Lucy White, nieces, nephews and many friends that were just like family. Visitation Tuesday, July 24th from 5 till 8 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday, July 25th at Britton Funeral Home. Special music for the service; Oh My Darlin, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon and Live Like You Were Dying. Interment to follow at Kinder Cemetery with full military honors. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the White family.
