Leean Campbell

February 7, 1942 — October 30, 2012

Leean Campbell of Sullivan formerly Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Charles D. and Ruby M. (Johnson) Thomason on February 7, 1942 in Granite City, Illinois and left from this life on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 70. Leean retired after working several years at Walmart in Cuba. She was the President of the Resident Council at Life Care Center in Sullivan. She enjoyed making crafts, gardening, bingo and loved to visit with family and friends. Leean is preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Campbell, Jr. son Robert Lee Campbell; four brothers James Edward, Russell, Kenneth and Charles Thomason; two sisters Betty Billick and Janie Reynolds. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three children Sam and wife Phyllis Campbell of Willis, Texas, Donald Campbell and friend Brenda of Smithboro, Illinois, Deborah and husband Keith Jones of Woodward, Oklahoma; two sisters Georgia Lee Kittrell of Daytona, Florida and Mary Jo Stratton of Granite City, Illinois; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Etta Lewis, officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home is Honored to be serving the Campbell family.
