Lawrence Steven Roberts

Lawrence Steven Roberts, 65, of Cuba, previously of Saint Robert, passed away, peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Cuba Manor.

On May 6, 1959, Lawrence was born to the union of Donald Thomas Roberts and Wanda Louise (Minzes) in Paso Robles, California.

Lawrence honorably and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy, having been afforded the opportunity to serve on a submarine team, Lawrence was able to travel the world which sparked his love for travel later in his life. His service to his country will never be forgotten.

Lawrence was an avid fisherman and absolutely loved snagging large bass, but he was always happy to catch anything that would take to his line. Fishing was not the only thing that he enjoyed about being outdoors, his other passion and favorite pass time was bar-b-que and in his younger years traveling down the open road. His favorite place to visit was Arkansas, which we can only assume was where his favorite fishing holes were. Most of all, Lawrence enjoyed the time spent with family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, Donald Thomas Roberts & sister-in-law, Mary Kay Roberts.

He is survived by his siblings, Thomas Roberts of Eminence, Russell Lee Roberts of Kansas & Patricia Renehan and husband Bill of Texas; two nieces, Angela VanNatter and Megan Dowdy; five nephews, Christopher Roberts, Jeffrey Roberts, John Dowdy, Jacob Dowdy & Ethan Dowdy; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Inurnment with military honors will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at Ft. Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery, Waynesville, Missouri.
