Lawrence E. é¢ééMoeé¢éé Ledbetter of Cuba, Missouri was born Saturday, December 6, 1924 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Kirby and Eva Lee (nee: Laramore) Ledbetter and left from this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 84 years 5 months and 20 days. Moe was a wire cutter for Ludlow Saylor in St. Louis, Missouri for forty plus years. He was a member of I.O.O.F. Lodge #5 and he enjoyed fishing and bowling in his spare time. Moe was united in marriage on January 26, 1975 to Joyce G. Martin at Clayton, Missouri. Moe was a loving son, brother, husband, step father, step grandfather, step great grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Moe is preceded in death by his parents Kirby and Eva Ledbetter, granddaughter Rene` Meyers, niece Elizabeth é¢ééBetsyé¢éé Barnes and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his loving wife Joyce Ledbetter of the home, four step sons Jerry Martin and friend Gail Stuart of Cuba, Tony Meyers of Owensville, Victor Meyers of Cuba and Patrick Meyers and friend Sue Warner of St. Louis, one sister Marjorie and husband Walter Rhoten of St. Louis, one brother-in-law Elmo and wife Vesta Martin of St. Louis, seven step grandchildren Jennifer Mayberry, Tara Martin, Tim Martin, Vince Meyers, Sara Proffer, Jennifer and husband Brad Ray and Crystal Proffer, many step great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation: Friday, May 29, 2009 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home. Funeral: Friday, May 29, 2009 2:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Knight, officiating. Interment: Asher Cemetery, St. James, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Ledbetter family.
