Lawrence E. Bridgeman of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, August 30, 1943 at Pea Ridge, Missouri to the union of John and Ruth (Nee: Adair) Bridgeman and left from this life on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri at the age of 74 years. Lawrence was as truck driver for many years before he became a heavy equipment operator. After retiring, Lawrence always grew a large garden. He enjoyed sharing his home-grown vegetables with his family and neighbors. He spent hours watching NCIS, Criminal Minds and all the other crime shows. When his health was good Lawrence loved going to church. To know Lawrence was to know that he drank coffee all day long. What he truly treasured most in life was spending time with his family. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, great-great uncle, nephew, cousin and friend of everyone. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth Bridgeman, one sister Lola Mae Holland, three brothers; Wayne Bridgeman, Johnny and wife Teri Bridgeman and Carl Bridgeman and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his children; Kimberly Painter of California, Danny and wife Marilyn Bridgeman of Utah and Amanda Abrams of Cuba, six grandchildren Camron, Brooklynn, Landon, Tasha, Tim and Thomas, two great grandchildren, special "little buddy" Maverick, seven brothers; Richard and wife Norma Bridgeman of Cuba, Orville and wife Lois Bridgeman of Newberry Park, California, Haskell and wife Linda Bridgeman of Cuba, Larry and wife Wanda Bridgeman of Cuba, Clifford and wife Delphia Bridgeman of Cuba, Rodger and wife Brenda Bridgeman, Sr. of Cuba and Lester and wife Glenda Bridgeman of Cuba, three sisters Stella and husband Wilbert Buchka of Cuba, Beverly and husband Jay Hanes of Cuba and Sharon and husband Dallas Britton of Cuba, brother-in-law Ernie Holland of Cuba, sister-in-law Betty Bridgeman of Parsons, Kansas, one uncle Bud Bridgeman of Thousand Oaks, California, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Lick Creek Cemetery, Hwy PP, Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Roger Taber officiating. Honored to serve as pall bearers will be Steven Bridgeman, Brian Hanes, DJ Britton, Kevin Bridgeman, Poncho Holland and Don Bridgeman. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Bridgeman family.
