Larry J. "Luke" Switzer

Larry J. “Luke” Switzer of Cuba, Missouri was born on March 23, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri to Floyd L. and Martha (Scott) Switzer. He left this life on Friday, September 15, 2023, at his home at the age of 67.

 

Luke was united in marriage to Judy “Annie” Hoke on June 25, 1983, in Cuba, Missouri. To this union three children were born James, Jeff and Mike.

 

Luke retired in 2014 from Meramec Industries in Sullivan, after thirty-five years of dedicated service in the Maintenance Department. He enjoyed working on cars, going to the lake, floating, camping and being a St. Louis Cardinals fan. Most of all Luke loved spending time with his family, especially being with his four grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

 

Luke is preceded in death by his parents Floyd L. and Martha L. (Scott) Switzer; one brother Gary Switzer.

 

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of forty years Judy “Annie” Switzer of Cuba; three sons James and wife Alysia Switzer of High Ridge, Jeff and wife Nicole Switzer of Jefferson City, Mike and wife Alisha Switzer of Imperial; four grandchildren Blake, Aaliyah, Camryn and Noah Switzer; five siblings Brenda and husband Mike Clifton of Eureka, Patty and husband Billy Garrison of Berryville, Arkansas, Jim and wife Teresa Switzer of Cuba, Dotty and husband David Baumann of Baldwin, Cindy Breese of Cuba; brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

 

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

 

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Sanders, officiating.

 

Interment will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
