Larry Lee Osborn of Cuba, Missouri was born on October 11, 1949 at Streator, Illinois to the union of Vernon and Ruth (Fitzgibbons) Osborn and he left from this life on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 67 years. Larry honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He earned his bachelor's degree in business from Columbia College. Larry worked as the Customer Service Rep for Olin Brass and after 27 years of dedicated service he retired in 2015. Larry spent the last couple of year's home schooling Ian. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening and collecting coins. What Larry enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family and friends. Larry was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Larry is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Ruth Osborn and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of nearly forty years Janet Osborn (nee: Meiser) of the home; four daughters Tammy Adams and Amy Osborn of Tennessee, Danielle Sweeten and Jaylene Osborn of Cuba, Missouri; one step-son Jerry Dey of Denver, Colorado; twelve grandchildren, one special great-grandson Ian Nicholas Osborn, two other great-grandchildren; six brothers and sisters Jean and husband Michael Hichborn of Omaha, Nebraska, Robert and wife Deb Osborn of Streator, Illinois, Diana and husband Jim Cimei of Magnolia, Illinois, Patricia Osborn of Streator, Illinois, Leah and husband Tim Corbeil of Streator, Illinois, Richard Osborn of Streator, Illinois; one brother-in-law Dennis and wife Rowena Meiser of Cuba, Missouri; three sisters-in-law Karen and husband Mike Greer of Bismarck, Missouri, Diane Meiser and fiancé Dewain Gress of Illinois, Patricia and husband Stephan Wood of Cuba, Missouri; cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. In keeping with Larry's wishes, he was cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Larry's family.
