Kenrick "Ken" J. Paynton of Stanton, Missouri was born on May 23, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of George C. and Mary (Haydon) Paynton. He left from this life on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Life Care Center in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 85 years.
Ken was united in marriage to Maggie Hall on June 7, 1959 in Bourbon, Missouri. To this union four children were born Michael John, Susan Lynn, Calvin Charles and John Lee.
Ken honorably served his country in the United States Army. He retired as an Aircraft Inspector from Boeing, in July of 1999 after 42 ½ years of dedicated service. He enjoyed planting a garden every year, growing roses, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents George C. and Mary (Haydon) Paynton.
Those who are left to treasure his memory and continue his legacy are his loving wife of sixty years Maggie R. Paynton of the home; four children Michael and wife Donna Paynton of Lovelock, Nevada, Susan and husband Richard Weiskopf of Rosebud, Missouri, Calvin and wife Chris Paynton of Wylie, Texas, John Paynton of Stanton, Missouri; one sister Grace Shelden of Dixon, Missouri; two brothers-in-law Harold and wife Al Hall, Ray and wife Mary Hall all of Cuba, Missouri; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Don Martin, officiating.
Interment will follow at Stanton Cemetery, Stanton, Missouri.
If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the Alzheimers Association.
