Kathalee "Kathy" Pevehouse of Cuba, Missouri was born March 28, 1923 at Jermyn, Texas to the union of William Rice and Myrtle Minnie (nee: Easter) Pevehouse and left from this life on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 87 years 11 months and 7 days. In May of 1941 her father was transferred from Texas to Cuba to work for the Frisco Railroad. She went to work for Cuba Telephone Company in 1944 and worked for thirty nine years in the telephone industry. At an early age of eleven she accept Christ as her personal Savior and remained faithful throughout her life and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Rice and Minnie Pevehouse and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her cousins Kenneth McCluerr and Billy H. Easter both of Graham, Texas, special friends Tim and Barb Bailey of Cuba and other friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011 beginning at 4:00 PM and the funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Bob Knight officiating. Special music will be "How Great Thou Art", "Amazing Grace" and "When They Ring the Golden Bells". Interment and prayers will be held at Winn Hill Cemetery, Jacksboro, Texas on Thursday, March 11, 2011. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cuba in Kathy's memory. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Pevehouse family and friends.
