Karen Kay Parrett of Cuba, Missouri was born on April 23, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of June M. (nee: Green) and Herbert Parrett and left from this life on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 54 years. Karen was united in marriage to Ronald Williams in April of 1975 and to this union two sons were born Ronald "Brian" and Jason. Karen had worked for Casey's and then at Dollar General Store in Cuba before she became ill over a year ago. She enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, going to yard sales, but what she truly treasured most was spending time with her sons, grandchildren, family and friends. Karen had been attending the ACTS Church of Cuba. She was member of the Cherryville Baptist Church and had given her heart to the Lord several years ago. Karen was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her father Herbert Parrett, step mother Flossie Parrett, step father Jim Nash, one sister Arahneil "Neil" (nee: Nash) Laycock and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving mother June M. Nash of Salem, Missouri, two sons Ronald "Brian" and wife Melissa Williams of Sullivan, Missouri, Jason and wife Marsha Williams of Salem, Missouri, two brothers Roger and wife Goldie Parrett of Steelville, Missouri and David and wife Kathy Parrett of Dixon, Missouri, one sister Jacquelyn and husband Richard Overbee of Salem, Missouri, one aunt Violet Eatherton of St. Petersburg, Florida, one uncle Glen and wife Lucille Green of Cuba, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 12 Noon Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Parrett/William's family. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Karen's family.
