Judy Mcguire

Judy McGuire of Rolla, Missouri formerly of Cuba was born Wednesday, October 6, 1943 at Cuba, Missouri to the union of Ernest A. and Georgia Helen Elizabeth (Nee: Beaman) Britton and left from this life on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Rolla, Missouri at the age of 72 years. Judy was united in marriage to John G. McGuire in 1971 at Cuba, Missouri and to this union four children were born Lori, Clint, Steve and Tammy. Judy retired from the University Missouri Rolla (UMR) after twenty years of dedicated service. She worked in the Custodial Department. Judy spent her life taking care of her children and her many cats. Judy's favorite cat was her siamese "Precious". In her spare time she enjoyed country music, watching the crime shows on TV and the shopping trips with her sisters to the thrift stores. What Judy loved most in life was spending time with her children and family. Judy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law, cousin, niece and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Judy is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Georgia Britton, husband John G. McGuire, infant daughter Lori McGuire, two sisters Linda Britton and infant Sherry Britton, brother-in-law Jack Hardin and many other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving children Clint McGuire of Rolla, Steve McGuire of Rolla and Tammy McGuire of Rolla, eleven brothers and sisters Carol Sue and husband Leroy Crider of Cuba, Denver and wife Barbara Britton of Rolla, Peggy Hardin of Meta, Missouri, Dallas and wife Sharon Britton of Cuba, Nancy Baez of Eldon, Missouri, Ray Britton of Cuba, Doug Britton of Cuba, Terry Britton of Cuba, Larry Britton of Cuba, Karen King of Cuba and Garnet Britton of Steelville, two aunts Cecilia Britton of Cuba and Edwina Britton of Cuba, sisters-in-law Loretta Garrett of Cuba, Sonya Collier of St. Louis and Wanda McGinnis of Chesterfield, Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 from 5:00 till 8:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba with Pastor Don Martin officiating. Special recorded music will be "God Must Really Love Me", "See You Again" and "Angel". Family will serve as pall bearers. Interment and prayers will follow at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Judy's family.
