Joyce Ann Dorf

Joyce Ann Dorf (nee: Davis) was born March 15, 1921 at Davisville, Missouri and passed away on January 1, 2007 at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 16 days. She was one of seven children born to Walter A. and Mary J. Davis. She is preceded in death by her husband Spencer; sons Phil and Ned, her parents; brothers Lavondal and Bill; sisters Jerry, Gladys and Ruth. Joyce is survived by her children Judy (Larry) Chinners of Cuba, Missouri, Robert Dorf of Steelville, Missouri, Davis Dorf of Colorado, Penny (Jerry) Sanders of St. Louis, Missouri, Lois Dorf of Fenton, Missouri, Jeanette (Bill) Green of Springfield, Missouri, Nannette Dorf of Cuba, Missouri; one sister Norma Greves of Cuba, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Joyce enjoyed cooking for large gatherings and was known for her creative Christmas displays through the years. She raised 9 children and cared for many children at her home in Cuba, Missouri. The family will receive friends at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. Graveside services at Kinder Cemetery on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m.with Dennis Greves, Buddy Hughes, Jerry Sanders, Larry Chinners, Bill Green and Jeff Bouse serving as pall bears. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation for the care she has received at Cuba Manor for the past 21/2 years.
