Joy Linn Burr of Cuba, Missouri was born December 31, 1956 at Rolla, Missouri to the union of Robert Henry and Lillian (Nee: Walker) Warnhoff, Sr. and left from this life on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 58 years. While growing up, Joy attended the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was the Cuba High School basketball homecoming queen in 1973 and graduated from Cuba High School in 1974. Joy worked at the Sears Catalogue Store, owned by her parents, for several years and cooked at the Briarwood Nursing Home for a while. Joy was and excellent seamstress, having learned from her mom, she would make her own clothes and even made clothes for Barbie's. Joy played the piano in her younger years, she spent hours listening to all types of music and the past year she enjoyed alternative music. For years if you walked into Joy's home it would look like a jungle, for she had a green thumb and the house plants were everywhere. Joy was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, cousin, sister-in-law and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Joy is preceded in death by her father Robert Henry Warnhoff, Sir, mother Lillian Warnhoff-Crow, one son Torrance "Torey" Burr, one brother Robert Henry "Bobby" Warnhoff, Jr., and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory are her daughter Natia Natwick and friend Matthew McClure of Buena Vista, Colorado, one son Robert Henry "Robby" Warnhoff, III of Cuba, like a daughter Cindy and husband Tracy Wilson of Cuba, five grandchildren; Abeni Williams, Maya Natwick, Lif Natwick, Zinnia Natwick and Lilly Warnhoff, one sister Jan and husband Shon Morris of Cuba, special puppy "Teacup", nephews, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Norman Heironimus officiating. Special recorded music will be "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" by Patsy Cline, "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me and "The Old Rugged Cross" by Alan Jackson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba in Joy's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Joy's family.
