Joseph M. 'Joe' Delaney

Joseph M. "Joe" Delaney of Leasburg, Missouri was born on June 27, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of John E. and Jessie L. (Hayden) Delaney. He left from this life on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri at the age of 86 years. Joe owned and operated Frank Electric in Florida for several years and was a member of I.B.E.W. He was very proud of his Leasburg Heritage. He enjoyed his years of living in Florida and Alaska, going to the Cuba Senior Center to shoot pool, old cars, gardening and reading. Joe is preceded in death by his parents John E. and Jessie L. (Hayden) Delaney; one sister Jessie Louise Delaney; one brother John Delaney. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his son Joseph "Marty" Delaney, Jr. of Leasburg, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. A gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Leasburg Revitalization Organization. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Delaney family.
