John William Archer

John William Archer of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Oscar Ralph and Margaret M. (Poling) Archer on March 29, 1929 in Caldwell, Ohio and left from this life on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri at the age of 86. John owned and operated Archer Tree and Lawn Care for several years. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and was a lifetime member of the Cuba V.F.W. Post #7147. John is preceded in death by his parents Oscar Ralph and Margaret M. (Poling) Archer; one son John Thomas "J.T." Archer; one daughter Teresa "Terry" Archer; two grandchildren Brian and Dixie Archer; one great-grandson James Marslander; two brothers Oscar Ralph and Carlos Archer; one sister Mary L. Archer. Those who are left to mourn his passing are his wife Nancy J. (Green) Archer of Cuba, Missouri; two children Vickie Rollison of Zanesville, Ohio and Johnny "Bub" Archer of Conway, South Carolina; one brother Marvin Archer of Kansas City, Kansas; three sisters Eileen Davis of Stockport, Ohio, Lucille Bates of East Union, Ohio, Nancy Archer of Belle Valley, Ohio; one sister-in-law Barb and husband Dex Laske of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many friends. Inurnment will be at Ft. Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Archer family.
