Joe Steuernagel

Joe Steuernagel of Bourbon, Missouri was born to the union of Charles E. and Lula (Eldredge) Steuernagel on July 25, 1931 in Rolla, Missouri and left from this life on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at his home at the age of 81. Joe owned and operated the Joe Steuernagel Trucking Company for many years and was a farmer. He enjoyed working on his farm, trucks, tractors, heavy equipment and his dogs. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Charles E. and Lula (Eldredge) Steuernagel; two sisters Doris Steuernagel and Hilda West; one nephew Brent West. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his special friend Elaine Steuernagel of Bourbon, Missouri; one nephew Barry and wife Kathy West of Leasburg, Missouri; two nieces Linda and husband Lester Benne of Chamois, Missouri, Carol Smith of Leasburg, Missouri; great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Wissmann. Interment will follow at Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Crawford County Shelter Pals. The Mizell Funeral Home is Honored to be serving the Steuernagel family.
