Joan B. Pennick

Joan B. Pennick of Cuba, Missouri was born on December 19, 1937 in Cardwell, Missouri and left from this life on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Cuba Manor at the age of 76. Joan was a homemaker most of her life and taking care of her children and grandchildren were the most important things to her. She enjoyed TV shows, tennis, fishing, bowling, crocheting and knitting. Joan is preceded in death by her parents Nevil Vaughn and Bertha Mae (Ray) Allen; husband James Pennick; one brother Nevil Vaughn, Jr.; one grandson Tommy Capps. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her five children Karen and husband Kevin Graham of St. Louis, Missouri, Scott and wife Tori Sisson of Columbia, Missouri, Vaughn and wife Sharon Sisson of Cuba, Missouri, Paula and husband Tom Capps of Bourbon, Missouri, Pamela and husband Jr. Burke of Cuba, Missouri; two sisters Paulette Gamblin of Seymour, Missouri and Dortha Strawn of Valley Park, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Private family visitation was held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Mizell Funeral Home. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Pennick family.
