Jimmy Earl Yates

Jimmy Earl Yates of Cuba, Missouri was born on March 6, 1940 in Alton, Illinois. He left from this life on Friday, November 30, 2018 at his home at the age of 78 years. Jimmy was united in marriage to Dorothy A. Souders on June 12, 1971 in Cuba, Missouri. To this union three children were born Timothy, Jeanette and Jonathan. Jimmy owned and operated Yates Lawn Service for many years. He enjoyed watching television and spending time with family and friends. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents George A. and Rachel I. (McMullin) Yates; wife Dorothy A. (Souders) Yates; infant son Jonathan Yates; three brothers Selby, George and Herbert Yates; one sister Elinor Kim Yates. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his two children Timothy and Jeanette Yates; one sister Betsy and husband Jim Shockley; one brother-in-law Norman Souders all of Cuba, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Private family graveside service with Pastor Jim Moore officiating, will be held at Licklider Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Yates family.
