Jimmy D. Strosnider

Jimmy D. Strosnider of Bourbon, Missouri was born to the union of Jim and Jeanette (Close) Strosnider on September 10, 1958 in Mountain Home, Idaho and left from this life surrounded by family at his home on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the age of 53. Jimmy was united in marriage to Neva Pinkston on September 27, 1975 and to this union two children were born April and Douglas. Jimmy was Groundsman for Sachs Electric. He was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan, I.B.E.W. Local #2 and also a 36 year member, Past President and Board Member of the Bourbon Fire Protection District. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, four wheelers, boating, shooting matches and spending time with his family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Neva A. Strosnider of Bourbon, Missouri; two children April Strosnider and friend Buddy Higgins of Cuba, Missouri, Douglas and wife Michelle Strosnider of Bourbon, Missouri; three grandchildren Dakota, Montana and Josie Higgins; parents Jim and Jeanette Strosnider of Cuba, Missouri; three brothers Carl Strosnider of Bourbon, Missouri, Terry Strosnider and friend Barb of Cuba, Missouri, Joe and wife Pam Strosnider of Bourbon, Missouri; one sister Melody and husband Rick Wright of Steelville, Missouri; father-in-law and mother-in-law Fred and Shirley Pinkston of Cuba, Missouri; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 11:00 a.m. at New Testament Baptist Church 962 N. Church St. Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Charles Idleman, officiating. Interment will follow at Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the Siteman Cancer Center 660 S. Euclid Box 8100, St. Louis, Missouri 63110. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving Jimmy's family.
