Jerry L. Ash of Cuba was born to the union of George and Elsie (Parker) Ash on April 24, 1953 in Sullivan, Missouri and left from this life on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 57. Jerry was a Chemical Supervisor for the Meramec Group in Sullivan for 33 years. He was an avid golfer, Cardinals and Rams fan, enjoyed making jerky and barbecuing, detailing cars, playing horse shoes and spending time with family and friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents George and Elsie (Parker) Ash; one son Jeremy Ash; three brothers Everett, Lloyd and Kenneth Ash; father-in-law Ed Conaway and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Katherine S. Ash (nee: Conaway) of the home; three children Erin and husband Steven White of Sullivan, Missouri, Jason and wife Casey Ash of Sullivan, Missouri, Jessi and husband Pat Rapert of Mountain View, Missouri; five grandchildren Colby Hammonds, Rayna White, Reagan, Ryan and Reece Rapert; two sisters Bernice and husband Hilmer Brewer of Bourbon, Missouri, Pat and husband Bob Conaway of Steelville, Missouri; two brothers George and wife Barbara Ash of Sullivan, Missouri, Gary and wife Judy Ash of Bourbon, Missouri; aunt Buss Parker of Jerome, Missouri; mother-in-law Dovie Conaway of Steelville, Missouri; Brother-in-laws and Sister-in-laws Marilyn Maupin of Sullivan, Missouri and Edie Robbins of St. Clair, Missouri; Anna and husband Skip Wishon of Steelville, Missouri, Sharon Conaway of Linn, Missouri, Rita and husband Dan Brendel of Union, Missouri, Mary and husband Ray Counts of Steelville, Missouri, Beverly and husband Clark Nash of Sullivan, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 6-9 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2010 2:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Paul Ransom, officiating. Interment will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. If desired memorials would be appreciated to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Ash family.
