Jerry L. Hitchcock

Jerry L. Hitchcock, of Cuba, Missouri, was born on October 21, 1959, in San Diego, California, to Thomas J. and Gail L. (Cummings) Hitchcock. He left this life on December 8, 2024, at the age of 65.

On July 7, 1979, Jerry married Debbie Bowen in Jackson, Missouri. Together, they welcomed three daughters: Christina, Angie, and Sandra, who brought immense joy to his life.

Jerry proudly served in the United States Army from 1980 to 1991 and later co-owned Hitchcock’s Pallets & More alongside his father. He was an active member of Trinity Chapel in Leasburg and found joy in a variety of hobbies, including riding his motorcycle, gaming, boating, and sharing his musical talents through bass guitar and singing within his church community. Above all, Jerry cherished spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Gail L. (Cummings) Hitchcock, and his sister-in-law, Rebecca Polley.

Jerry's memory will be lovingly preserved by his wife, Debbie Hitchcock, and their three daughters: Christina Wamble and her husband Chuck of Cuba, Angie Holland and her husband Ron of Cuba, and Sandra Adams and her husband George Jr. of Steelville. He also leaves behind five grandchildren—Mica Moeckel and her husband Stephen, Cheyenne Adams, Arabella Adams, Kamden Holland, and Jaycee Holland—as well as one great-grandson, Stephen Moeckel. In addition, Jerry is survived by his brother, Jay Hitchcock and his wife Cynthia of Fulton, his sister-in-law Patsy Surface and her husband Charles of Bell City, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
