Jerome A. 'Jerry' Talamante

Jerome A. "Jerry" Talamante of Cuba, Missouri was born Wednesday, November 30, 1949 at St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life Friday, August 31, 2108, at his second home, in Gravois Mills, Missouri at the age of 68 years. Jerry proudly served in the United State Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Jerry was united in marriage to Patricia Ann "Patty" Boswell on July 27, 1982 at St. Louis, Missouri and they were the proud parents of Jessica and Mathew. Jerry retired in 2013 as an automotive technician (mechanic) from the union after forty years of dedicated service. He worked for Suntrup Nissan and other Nissan dealerships during his working career. In his spare time, and after retirement, he enjoyed fishing, boating and being at the lake. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing pool, bowling, boat racing and drag racing. Jerry was known for his sense of humor. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, friends and his four-legged child Abbey. Jerry was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend of many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Patty Talamante and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his children; Jessica Talamante and fiancé Chris Baker of Cuba and Mathew and wife Lindsey Talamante of Viburnum, Missouri, two step sons; Jason and wife Amanda Effinger of Smithville, North Carolina and Joe and wife Amanda Effinger of St. Louis, three grandchildren; Gracelyn, Audrey and Vincent, five step grandchildren; Gabriele, Madison, Tyler, Joey and Olivia, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, in-laws and a host other relatives and friends. In keeping with Jerry's wishes he will be cremated, and no services will be held. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Talamante family
