Jean M. Kaufhold

Jean M. Kaufhold of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of William John and Harriet (Beckett) MacKay on June 6, 1924 in Sandgate, Queensland (Australia) and left from this life on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Cuba Manor in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 87. Jean was united in marriage to Anthony H. "Tony" Kaufhold, Jr. on September 17, 1943 in Australia. Jean was known in Cuba as the "Little Australian Lady" who came to do wall papering and painting. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed living on the farm, flower gardening, crocheting, knitting, birds, and rabbits. Jean is preceded in death by her parents; husband Anthony H. "Tony" Kaufhold, Jr. brothers and sister William, Harry, Alfie, Margaret, Alexander and James; three brothers-in-law Fred, Norman and Jim Kaufhold; three sisters-in-law Pearl Matte, Marie Kincade and Mildred Bogue. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are nieces and nephews James and wife Barbara Kaufhold of Cuba, Missouri, David and wife Sherry Bogue of Del Rio, Texas, Barbara and husband Denver Britton of Rolla, Missouri, Cathy and husband Charles Schroyer of Cuba, Missouri; two brothers-in-law Warren Kaufhold of St. Charles, Missouri and Bill Kaufhold of O'Fallon, Missouri; other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012 5:00 p.m. until time of Funeral service 7:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Mace, officiating. Cremation will follow the service, with inurnment at Kinder Cemetery. The Mizell Funeral Home is Honored to be serving the Kaufhold family.
