Janice Marilyn Willis

Janice Marilyn Willis of Meta, Missouri and formerly of Cuba was born on Monday, June 26, 1944 in Alamosa, Colorado to the union of Frank and Hazel (Medearis) Pearson. She left from this life on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at her home at the age of 76 years.

Jan was united in marriage to Donald R. Tate on December 31, 1964 in St. Louis, Missouri. Together they raised four children Ron, Donnie, Mae and Alfred. After Don's passing, she would later be united in marriage to William Harold Willis on July 3, 2003 in Cuba, Missouri.

Jan retired after working several years for Wal-Mart. She enjoyed fishing, family genealogy, spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald R. Tate; one son Donald R. "Donnie" Tate, Jr. four brothers John, Kenneth, Howard and Gary Pearson.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband William Harold Willis of Meta; one son Ron Tate of Edina; one daughter Mae and husband Charles Ferguson of Cuba; one foster son Alfred and wife Rana Dotson of Cuba; one sister Wilma and husband Loyd "Allen" Fields of Rogers, Arkansas; one brother Don and wife Carol Pearson of Gravette, Arkansas; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many friends.

Private burial was held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

A "Celebration of Jan's Life" will be held on her birthday, June 26th. Details to follow.
