James Wesley Creson

James Wesley Creson of Cuba, Missouri was born Thursday, March 27, 1952 at Springfield, Missouri to the union Walter and Pawnee (Nee: Payne) Creson and left from this life on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at his home in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 65 years. Wesley, as he was known by, was united in marriage to Patricia Michelle Engle on July 26, 1986 at Springfield, Missouri. They united their families together and became the parents of Matthew, Amber, Andrea and later adopted Aaron. Wesley worked as a LPN for five years before becoming a stay at home dad. After Andrea became a teenager he went back to work. He worked for Karsch' Grocery Store which became Mace's Grocery Store in Cuba and he ended his career in the grocery business at Country Mart in Steelville. Wesley was a natural born mechanic and his love of working on auto's led him to his next job at O'Reilly Auto Parts store in Cuba. For the last five years Wesley had worked for Auto Zone in Sullivan. In his spare time he did leather work, wood carvings and he enjoyed watching all the old TV shows especially the Westerns. Wesley specialized in helping people, from the elderly who were ill to the young people who needed help with their cars. He never met a stranger and his gift to gab allowed him to help people every step of his life. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law and friend of many. He will be always remembered and never forgotten by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Pawnee Creson, one niece Angie Creson and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Michelle Creson of the home, four children Matthew and wife Heather Clary of Bourbon, Amber Creson of Springfield, Missouri, Andrea Creson of Springfield, Missouri and Aaron and wife Login Creson of Springfield, Missouri, seven grandchildren; Taylor, Addison, Sierra, Dakota, Alexia, Rena and Pheenix, one brother Stan Creson of Marshfield, Missouri, one sister Deidre Creson of Springfield, Missouri, two nephews Shane Creson and Noah Creson, one great nephew Hunter Creson, sister-in-law Rene and husband Doug Dahl of Kansas City, Missouri and a host of other relatives and many friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. In keeping with Wesley's wishes he was cremated. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Creson family.
