James Harold Moore

March 29, 1932 — March 9, 2008

James Harold Moore of Cuba, Missouri was born Tuesday, March 29, 1932 at Wichita, Kansas to the union of Clarence and Dorothy Moore and left from this life on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 75 years 22 months and 11 days. James was united in marriage to Diane Comstock on August 23, 1958 at Lone Dell, Missouri and to this union six children were born; Jimmy, Debbie, Christine, Robert, Melinda and Kevin. James retired in 1997 after nearly 45 years as a maintance man. He worked for International for many years and ended his career at Richwood School District were he was the maintance man, bus driver, custodian, mechanic and all around good guy. James confessed his faith in God at the age of 18 and spent the rest of his life living and believing in the Lord. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but as the years past he began to enjoy gardening. He had a green thumb, everything he planted grew beautifully. He also enjoyed spending the day going to Flea Markets, yard sales, auctions, watching Dave Murray the Weatherman, old western movies and the Price is Right at 11 AM each day. But what James enjoyed more than anything in life was being with his family. James was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to everyone he met. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Dorothy Moore, one brother Quentin Moore, one sister Wanita Clemens and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to celebrate a life lived is his loving wife Diane Moore of the home, three sons; Jimmy and wife Frances Moore of Bourbon, Robert and Kevin Moore of Cuba, three daughters; Debbie and husband Russell Schumacher of Robertsville, Missouri, Christine and husband Jeff Barnes of Sullivan, Missouri, Melinda and husband Dale Conley of Leasburg, Missouri, one sister Mona Littrell of Richwood, Missouri, eighteen grandchildren; Timothy, Wesley, Laura, Michael, Christy, Tiffany, Samantha, Daniel, Deanna, Derek, Cody, Daniel, Christopher, Jacob, Jennifer, Tricia, Stephen and Jimmy and seven great grandchildren; Drake Addison, Keristen, Isaiah, Haylie, Wyatt and Mackenzie and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Tuesday, March 11th from 4 till 8 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral Service 10 AM Wednesday, March 12th with Pastor Ron Evans officiating. Special music for the service; I'll Fly Away, Amazing Grace and When the Roll is Called Up Yonder. Interment to follow at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
