Irma May Breedlove of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, July 30, 1926 at Union, Missouri to the union of Roy W. and Vinita E. (Nee: Sassmann) Thompson. Irma went home to be with The Lord on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Cuba Manor at the age of 92 years.
Irma was united in marriage to Eldo W. Klaeger on December 17, 1944 at Jacksonville, Florida and to this union Judy, Jackie, Robert, Dennis and Jerry Lee were born. Eldo passed on October 12, 1989.
Irma owned and operated Irma's Flowers and Gifts for twenty-six years. She retired in 1996 and she was united in marriage to Farrell Breeedlove on October 22, 1996.
Irma was a very talented lady. She could paint beautiful pictures and her pencil drawings of angels were amazing. Every spring Irma would be outside getting her garden ready and then in the summer she would spend hours and hours canning.
She was a devout member of the Cuba United Methodist Church, until her health began to decline. What Irma treasured most in her life was spending time with her family and friends.
She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to everyone. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Irma is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Vinita Thompson, husbands Eldo Klaeger and Farrell Breedlove, two sons Dennis Klaeger and Jerry Lee Klaeger and other family and friends.
Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving children; Judy and husband Russell Halbert of Steelville, Jackie and husband Joe Hughes of Cuba and Robert Klaeger and companion Pam Kerby of Sullivan, fifteen grandchildren; Keith and wife Dailene Forbes of Steelville, Crystal and husband Gerald Earhart of Steelville, Jodi and husband Bill Goerger of Cuba, Jan and husband Troy Jones of Cuba, Meredith and husband Bo Tonella of St. Louis, Bobby Klaeger of St. Charles, Christopher Klaeger of Atlanta, Stephany Klaeger of St. Louis, Sara Klaeger of Sullivan, Draton and wife Nancy Halbert of Steelville, Mary and husband Jim West of Steelville, Brenda and husband Russ Klouzek of Cuba, Jason and wife Laura Halbert of Steelville, Nicole and husband Tim Hebert of Union and Chad Klaeger of Cuba, twenty seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 24, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. at the Cuba United Methodist Church, 903 W Washington Street, Cuba.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 with Pastor Paula Brookshier officiating at the Cuba United Methodist Church, 903 W Washington Street, Cuba. Special music by John and Leslie Craig will be "In The Garden" and "Hymn of Promise".
Interment and prayers will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Union Cemetery, North Washington and Grandview Avenue, Union Missouri.
Honored to serve as casket bearers are Gerald Earhart, Keith Forbes, Bobby Klaeger, Christopher Klaeger, Troy Jones and Bill Goerger.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cuba United Methodist Church in Irma's memory.
The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving Irma's family.
