Imogene June Crist

Imogene June Crist of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Joseph C. and Mayme (Lamar) Line on June 1, 1923 in Rolla, Missouri and left from this life on Sunday, April 25, 2010 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 86 years 10 months and 24 days. Imogene was united in marriage to Edgar H. Crist on November 17, 1941 in Palmyra, Missouri and to this union two daughters were born Marsha and Vicki. Imogene was a homemaker and a member of the Cuba United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing golf, playing bridge, reading, crossword puzzle books, but most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. Imogene is preceded in death by her parents Joseph C. and Mamye (Lamar) Line; husband Edgar H. Crist; one brother Donald Line; two sisters Marvine Henrickson and Mildred Beinlich and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her two daughters Marsha Murray of Georgetown, Texas and Vicki J. and husband Glen Lewis of Creve Coeur, Missouri; four grandchildren Scott L. Murray of Houston, Texas, Cristi L. Wuthrich of Novasota, Texas, Julie L. Lewis-Lapin of St. Louis, Missouri and Katie M. Murphy of St. Louis, Missouri; three great-grandchildren Sydney Murray, Finnegan and Ainsley Murphy; one sister Eleanor Garrison of Corpus Christi, Texas, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and friend to many. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 2:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Paul Lathum, officiating. Interment will follow at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or Cuba United Methodist Church. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Crist family.
