Herman Sidney Mcmillian, Sr.

Herman Sidney McMillian, Sr. of Cuba, Missouri was born August 7, 1921 at Ironton, Missouri to the union of Joseph and Rosa (nee: Smith) McMillian and left from this life on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 85 years 3 months and 25 days. Herman was united in marriage to Irma Jean George on Ferbruary 1, 1941 at Steelville, Missouri and to this union nine children were born; Clifford Leroy, Larry, Mack, Joel, Joann, Karen, Kathy, Carol and Pam. Herman was the owner/operator of a sawmill for over 30 years and a farmer since 1942. He enjoyed coon hunting, running dogs, his cattle and blue grass music. Herman was a loving son, husband, father, father in law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, half brother and friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Herman is preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Rosa McMillian, one son Clifford Leroy McMillian, one brother Howard and two half brothers; Jack and Leonard McMillian. Those who are left to mourn his passing is his loving wife Irma McMillian of Cuba, Missouri, three sons; Larry, Mack and Joel McMillian all of Cuba, Missouri, five daughters; Joann and husband Dick Busse of St. Clair, Missouri, Karen Childress of St. James, Missouri, Kathy and husband Winferd Hays of St. James, Missouri, Carol and husband Bruce Crutchfield of Cuba, Missouri and Pam Richardson of Cuba, Missouri, two half sisters; Laura and Viola, special friend "like a son" Larry Pilkenton, twenty three grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Monday, December 4th from 6 to 9 PM at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba. Funeral service 1 PM Tuesday, December 5th at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba witb Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Burial at the McMillian Family Farm in rural Cuba, Missouri. Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri is honored to be serving the McMillian family.
